About Gerard
Gerard challenges leaders, teams and organizations to release their full potential. He uses a structured, as well as an intuitive approach, with the executive/team as the focus of the coaching process. Because each person and team is unique, consultation is essential in determining the process, the agenda and the goals of the sessions. The sessions are specifically tailored to the customer as a ‘whole’, and are highly personal in approach.
Qualifications, Accreditations
Gerard is certified to use a large number of worldwide recognized instruments including the CPITM, MBTI®, FIRO-B®, Hogan, Benchmarks®, ISPI® and Voices® instruments. In his work, he focuses on the technical and innovation business background as well as the human side of business.

Professional Experience
After finishing his studies in Physics at the University of Delft and his PhD in Physics at the University of Eindhoven, Gerard worked as a researcher/innovator and a leader for Dutch-based TNO, the largest industrial research institute in Europe. He held several leadership positions during this time, including that of Director of Marketing for a cluster of institutes and Director of Human Resources for the entire organisation of over 4000 employees.
As an interim manager and a member of a management team, he merged two institutes and executed a change process for strategic implementation of a new organisational structure. Inspired by a leadership training Gerard decided to make a significant career change. Today he has his own company HuReMa Consulting, specialising in leadership development, consulting and training, executive (team) coaching, and innovation.
He is Chairman of the board for the Stichting Keuringsbureau Hout as well as for the Stichting Hout Research group. He has been a Board Member of the Foundation of Structured Materials (a foundation raised by a number of companies, Stork, Nijverdal ten Cate, AKZO, to agree upon the policy for innovation in The Netherlands) for several years. He was a Board Member for the Institute for Cleaning Technology and a Board Member for the Dutch Packaging Center.

Gerard has worked in a wide variety of industries including high-tech, financial services, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, consumer products, oil & gas, (international) government, and healthcare. His work has spanned the public, private and nonprofit sectors in all continents. He has been an associate with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) since 1993, working as a client solutions architect, trainer and executive coach.
